bitwarden — brand visuals, design system
A research project for Bitwarden, exploring the idea of using password complexity as a visualized metric for a motion branding asset. To create a graphical layer on top of the generated shapes, we looked into one of the key aspects of storing passwords securely – encryption – and translated its core idea of reordering visually into a grid-like pattern, without adding anything new: visually translating encryption.
This systems-based approach to brand visuals gives us the opportunity to not only create a set of visuals, but to think in the context of a brand visual tool that allows us to create a visual for any aspect ratio and length. All in a consistent visual style, without repetition.
